德國EA-PS 9000 1U系列是一款由微處理器控制的實驗室電源。其標準型號配備多種功能和特徵，讓使用者使用起來更方便、有效。所有這些功能全部濃縮在44 mm高度的產品內。控制台上清晰地分佈有兩個旋鈕、六個按鍵，以及兩個LED燈。同時還有一顯示所有數值與狀態的藍色液晶顯示器，從而簡化了產品的使用。
交流輸入
德國EA-PS 9000 1U系列所有型號都採用主動式功率因數校正線路，1.5 kW以下型號可在100 V AC 至264 V AC 的輸入電壓範圍下使用。兩種功率級別的產品都會在輸入電壓低時自動減少輸出功率，因此1.5 kW型號在輸入電壓為100...1150 V AC 時仍有1 kW。3 kW型號在輸入電壓為180...207V AC 時仍可供應2.5 kW。
功率
所有型號的輸出功率都可靈活調整。可在較低電流時輸出較高電壓，或在低電壓時輸出較高電流，但總是維持在最大額定功率範圍內。它們的設定功率都可調，因此僅用一台產品就能覆蓋廣泛的應用。
直流輸出
本系列有多款不同型號，可選擇0...80 V至0...750 V輸出電壓，0...6 A至0...100 A輸出電流，0...1500 W至0...3000 W輸出功率的類型。因此不管是手動控制還是遠端控制（類比或數位），都可在0%與100%之間連續調節電流、電壓與功率。
直流輸出端位於產品後板。
放電電路
額定輸出電壓為200 V或以上的產品，其輸出電容都配有一放電電路。在空載或帶小負載時，它能確保危險電壓在直流輸出關閉後降至60 V DC以下。該電
壓值被認為是對人體安全的最大電壓。
保護功能
為保護連接設備，可給產品設定一過壓保護極限值(OVP)，以及過流(OCP)與過功率(OPP)保護極限值。一旦因故超過這三個值中的一個，直流輸出會被立即切斷，並在顯示器與介面端發出一狀態信號。本產品還有過溫保護，如果產品過熱，它會關斷直流輸出。
