- MICROTEST 8740 線材測試機，在量測技術上使用高端32Bit True-RMS DSP，有別於一般量測所使用的ADC。除了32位元的資料提高相當的精準度外，對於交流信號處理的速度也能增快數十倍。線材測試使用交流信號的項目有電容量測、單邊測試、端點不良A/B邊判斷、以及AC耐壓和漏電流等，不僅精確穩定，對於AC高壓和漏電流測試時間更是極大的提升，比CT8681快了兩倍以上。
MICROTEST 8740 在應用上，除了可測試各種線材、連接器、PC板等外，對於線材與連接器結合帶有PCB元件的綜合成品亦能有效地做一次性測試，還有單邊半成品線或多接頭成品也能作完整測試。8740 亦能支援多物同測及循序測試，以Remote Port搭配自動化產線進行成品檢驗、減少人力需求、縮短檢驗時間、提高產能
